Josep Piqué, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Industry, and current president of Spanish low cost airline Vueling, will be appointed as the next Minister of Economy and Finance of Spain if Mariano Rajoy wins the elections scheduled for November 20th.
Mariano Rajoy, likely the winner of next Spanish elections, have asked Piqué to become the next Spanish Economy Minister, as the current president of Vueling has told to some friends during his holidays this summer in Majorca.
Piqué and his wife Gloria Lomana, editor-in-chief of Antena 3 Noticias, have told the Rajoy proposal also to Pedro J. Ramírez, edtor-in chief of El Mundo, the most readen newspaper mainly among right supporters. Pedro J. Ramírez also has been gathered during four days with the president of News Corporation, Rupert Murdoch, in his house in the east of Majorca.
Piqué will accept only to enter in the next Government if the offered post is being Minister of Economy and Finance, sources close to Vueling President have told.
