Air Europa’s pilots strikes every Monday and Thursday starting next September 22, indefinitely, called by the union SEPLA.
The union justified strike by the situation in which there is the collective bargaining agreement and code-sharing agreements between the airline Air Europa and Orbest in Canary Islands, one from the airline's operational and business practices is advocated that the union considers an "outsourcing."
The company operates from December 2010 codeshare flights with Orbest, Orizonia’s airline destinations of Cancun and Punta Cana, but this agreement has been extended to mainland routes arriving or departing the Canary Islands "without the union according” of SEPLA, which represents 96% of pilots in Air Europa.
