Iberia pilots have decided to go ahead with their protest against the creation of low cost Iberia Express and formalized the strike call their group in the company. The direction of SEPLA has organized a schedule of protests with a stop day a week, beginning on the 18th and 29th December. This month, therefore there will be two days of strike by airline pilots in the flag of Spain, but none of those dates coincide with Christmas, the union has secured preferente.com.

The SEPLA, which represents about 1,500 pilots of Iberia, has called for the media on Wednesday at 13.00 to give out your calendar, while, as has been told this digital recording the call representatives official strike to the Administration."We do not touch at all the Christmas or the dates indicated" stressed a union representative.

Justo Peral, head of SEPLA in Iberia, has stated that the dates "were chosen with little movement of travelers, for as little harm as possible to the Spanish tourist industry. We do not want to hurt the company if it does. " The idea of the union has always been this: to protest at Christmas, but "no harm". The affected flights will be known when the Ministry of Development to establish a minimum service, "although it is normal if operated only made journeys Iberia or where there is often a single day."

Still unaware of the legal consequences of his action and labor protests, the SEPLA has responded to the enormous pressure of the group calling for the moment, two days of strike. However, union sources have acknowledged that, almost to the last moment, there have been possibilities "minimum" that finally there were strikes.

The pilots will be alone in this strike, because the five TCP unions have announced on Monday that gave up to join the protests of this group, understanding that each must negotiate separately with the direction of Iberia. However, cabin crew call strikes do not rule out later if the company does not agree to their demands, especially in regard to the recruitment of temporary staff of Iberia in the new low-cost subsidiary.

Asked about the relationship with the Popular Party and the team of the future prime minister, Mariano Rajoy, the SEPLA has confirmed that there have been repeated contacts, especially with the promotion of the PP spokesman in Congress, Andres Ayala. Contacts have been made at the request of both parties and, in them, have expressed the popular pilots union concerns about the possibility of a strike in the first days in office the new president, but always "with a very conciliatory tone" , according to the union. Rajoy's investiture is scheduled for December 21, which may have conditioned the choice of dates by the SEPLA.
