NH Hoteles to cut costs in 10%

NH Hoteles wanted to go a step further, in line with cost reduction initiatives launched in the first half of the year with a supplemental plan more ambitious. According to a company statement sent to the National Securities Market, the hotel management team takes a voluntary commitment to austerity cuts that will affect the fixed remuneration and other benefits at rates ranging between 5 and 10% the first and between 10 and 40% the second, according to different concepts during the next year.

 

Also, the hotel has announced changes in its organizational structure "in order to align with their needs and objectives" and to that effect substantial changes take place. Thus, the President of NH, Mariano Pérez Claver, passes to assume the presidency in Sotogrande replacing Manuel Herrando y Prat de la Riba. This appointment, says the company "will provide greater integration of Sotogrande in the Group, allow the elimination of duplication in its management and facilitate improvement in customer choice". With a very good location in the south of Spain, in Costa del Sol, Sotogrande is a landmark residential in Europe.

 

In addition to this change, the structure of NH will be modified as follows:

He incorporated professionals such as Mikael Anderson, from Expedia, and Jeff Karlson, responsible for Sales, Hilton.Además from within the internal promotion plan, Emilio Consigliere was appointed head of the area of Revenue Management from the one that leads and sets the optimal policies for price positioning in the Company.

 

He creates two areas reporting directly to the president, Media Management (Human Resources, Works and Environment and Shopping) by Iñigo Capell, currently head of Human Resources and Organizational Management and Systems at the forefront Javier Matas, who recently joined and professional experience in the financial sector in companies like Barclays Bank, Banco Zaragozano and Ferrovial.

 

With all these changes, the company expects to reduce costs by 10% over the next two years.
